Easy to use

I just received this in the mail a few days ago after my sister recommended me to buy a bike pump. And boy was this a great selection. At first I thought I was doing everything correctly, but I then realized I had the lock for the nozzle in the wrong position. So it’s a great idea to one, keep the paper instructions you receive in the box, along with making sure you have the arrow on the nozzle is pointing to the valve you have on the tire you are inflating. If you are noticing the opposite, take the nozzle off the valve and see/feel where the air is flowing. And be sure you are using the correct end of the nozzle before placing it on the tire. I hope this review is helpful to many people. To the rest of those complaining that this pump was a negative, I’ll just say you have to be patient with some things.

Good high pressure pump for road bike tires

I broke the valves off a couple of tubes when I first tried to use the pump but it was my fault for not realizing how the nifty dual sided lever on the pump head works. Once I had figured that out it’s been wonderful. Be very careful getting it on and off presta valves but if you do it correctly, it’s very easy to use and quick at topping off the air pressure before each ride. Based on experience I would say the pressure gauge appears to be just a bit off. I ride very high pressure tires at 120 psi and estimate the 120 feels about the same as 108-110 psi. No big deal. It’s a great pump for the price and easy to use. Have had it a month or so and it has worked flawlessly.

Good bike pump

It's a good bike pump. This is the same bike pump we see outside of our local bike shops here that can be used by anyone. So, I decided to buy one for us novice bikers. We use this each time we go on a bike ride on the trail. Use it prior to biking, of course. Without this, we would be riding on soft tires. No, we don't have flats on our tires. It's just the way it is. We have Presta valves on both of our bikes and this bike pump will work on both Presta and Schrader valves. Make sure you unhinge your Presta valves first before inserting, locking, and pumping air to your tires. If not, you will have a tough time pumping because it will feel like there's a blockage or resistance and it may mess up your bike pump. Learned my lesson, didn't I? On Schrader valves there is no need to unhinge or loosen any valves. You just insert your tool, lock it up, and pump until you reach your max PSI.
