BV Alloy Rear Kickstand for Tube Mounting

Does not support loaded rear pannier rack

I installed this kickstand on my oval-ish chainstay by cutting up an old bike tube and wrapping it around like handlebar tape (or a tennis racquet handle), and the securing the kickstand around the wrapped rubber. While this supports the bikes weight, contrary to some of the reviews here, I've found it won't support the bike if I attach a pannier bag or load a milk crate on my rear rack. I bought a kickstand exclusively for the purpose of loading my bikes panniers, but unfortunately this kickstand does not help on that front. I may try one of those double kickstands in the future....

solid stand but has one issue

as some other reviews have pointed out, this oval clamp design is not well suited to the tapered portion of the bike frame where it will be anchored. To solve this I drilled a small hole in the center of the clamp and into one side of my frame tube. Then i threaded a small bolt straight through. This keeps the kick stand from swiveling. With that in place, the clamp can then be tightened as much as you want.

Works fine

Fit my old Sekai bicycle fine. I should have gotten one years ago!
It doesn't fit where most kickstands go, but attaches to the horizontal bar between the pedals and the rear hub. You can put it where you think it would go best. It's one-size-fits-all at the mounting area. You have to use your best judgement and a little creativity, but the end result is satisfying. Has a plastic cover over the bottom portion of the leg, so it won't scratch your floor if you store your bike inside.

Solid aluminum, works great, easy adjustment, only down side is the weight.

So far we love it, had been on my mothers bike for a few weeks now, and other than some scratches on the finish it still does great. It is made out of aluminum and some high quality plastics/rubber. My favorite feature (other than the very smooth hinge) is the length is adjustable via a small switch lock that can be quickly and easily accessed allowing you to make adjustments on the fly, so when parking on a hill or grade you can adjust the length of the stand.

I was so tired of dealing with the super cheap/crappy universal stands from bell, this fits the bill perfectly.
